We are proud to be home to over 100 retired Thoroughbred horses who rely on your generosity and support to be able to live out their days in peace and comfort. Your contributions help ensure they receive the care they need to thrive in their retirement years.

We go through an impressive total of 14 bags of grain EACH DAY! This amounts to roughly around $90,000 each year.

Each horse at our facility receives essential yearly vaccinations to protect their health and well-being, as well as routine dental work to ensure their comfort and health.

We need approximately 800 round hay bales for our horses each year, which results in a total cost of nearly $80,000 annually.

Each horse at Akindale TB Aftercare receives routine farrier trims, which are essential for their hoof health and maintenance, costing $40 each time. Over the course of a year, the total cost for farrier maintenance for a single horse amounts to $350, ensuring that their needs are consistently met.

Our horses love to play and because of that, we find ourselves constantly fixing our fence line to ensure their safety. Each year, we need over 300 fence boards to maintain our safe habitat and secure environment for them. This ongoing effort reflects our commitment to their well-being and the necessity of a sturdy enclosure.
